2026 marks the 29th year of the Central Wyoming machine gun and cannon shoot. In 2018 the shoot was taken over by Central Wyoming shooter LLC. The shoot has become a family affair for the Miller and Steele families. Quinton Miller, his wife Tisha and daughter Bristol. The Steele family Amber, Eric, Eldon and Nic are all siblings. Quinton and Eric started off as participants of the shoot back in 2010ish. Now days Quinton is the event organizer with the help of Tisha and Amber. The two family's help to set up, run and clean up the shoot every year. Nic is our range safety officer on the tower. Eric and Eldon help out on the blasting crew and do block officer duty along with running The Wyoming weapons booth. Tisha and Amber man the office in the sea container to help out the shooters with anything they might need and sell their T-shirts they work so hard on making. Bristol helps out on the blasting crew setting charges and moving fuel barrel's around with the tractor down range during cease fires for her dad. Bill Hudick, Robert Peterson, Scott De Suno and David Klingensmith are the core of the blasting crew and keep things safe down range. We can't say enough good things about the whole bunch.
Supporter of the Shoot
Garret Ranch CO.
The Garret Family has been hosting the Shoot on their ranch for almost 20 years. We can't thank them enough for hosting us year after year!
Superior Signs
Frank and his crew donate their time and materials to make us the best signage we could ask for the shoot.
Moser energy systems
Moser donates a Genset for the shoot to power all of our loudspeakers and lights. They have the nicest generators around!
Blakeman Propane
Blakeman donates the propane fuel for the genset. They have the cleanest propane tanks we have ever seen. They also save up all their old propane bottles over the year so we can use them as targets!
All out Fire
All out donated over 200 fire extinguishers for targets last year!
Bar Nunn Fire department
Dave and the crew provide fire suppression and EMS services; to date we have never needed them thankfully, but they are there and ready the entire weekend. It's always COOL to see their 5-ton military brush truck!
H.D. OUTDOORS
HD Outdoors is a nonprofit organization that helps veterans stay active. They take them on big game hunts in the fall and fishing in the summer. The also do monthly recoil therapy sessions and other activities throughout the year. The proceeds from the Central Wyoming Machine gun and cannon shoot go to help HD outdoors do what they do! The CWMG shoot and HD outdoors host a recoil therapy night during the shoot.
